Vitrue powers Pepsi’s Sierra Mist holiday promotion

Just recently Vitrue launched a social media holiday promotion for Pepsi. Pepsi was looking for a fun and unique unique social experience to promote the release of Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash. The Vitrue solution included creating a re-gifting application that will be promoted on the web. The re-gifting theme is great and offers a simple yet engaging way for consumers to interact with the brand during the holiday season.

As in real life re-gifting, consumers pick a silly gift (such as nose hair clippers or a mullet wig), add a funky background, upload a photo of themselves, add a personal message and email the re-gift to a friend. Consumers can choose to remain “anonymous” by positioning a black bar over their eyes in the photo. Gift recipients are also encouraged to re-gift by changing the background, photo or message and passing it on to another friend. It’s a perfect viral concept for the holidays and provides powerful brand exposure for Pepsi’s Sierra Mist.
